Bar-B-Q

Apple BBQ Pork Chops - Jill

4 - 6 Chops
1/2 cup Brown sugar
1 can 16 oz applesauce
1/2 cup Chopped onion
1/2 cup Cider vinegar
2 tsp Dry
2 tsp
1/2 tsp Oregano optional

Place chops in greased shallow dish. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over chops. Bake uncovered 350 for 1 1/2 - 2 hrs.

 

BBQ Pork Chops 

1/2 cup Water
1/2 cup Catsup
2 Tbsp Worcestershire
1/4 cup Vinegar
1-1 1/2 tsp Liquid smoke
2 Tbsp Sugar
1 Tbsp Prepared mustard
1 1/2 tsp Salt
1 lemon Slice
1/2 tsp Pepper
1 medium Onion sliced
6 Chops

Combine water, vinegar, sugar, mustard, salt, pepper, lemon and onion slices. Mix well and simmer 20 mins. Stir in catsup, Worcestershire and liquid smoke. Place chops in 9 x 13 Pyrex pan and pour sauce over. Bake 350 for 1 hr or until tender.

 

BBQ Short Ribs

1 minced Clove garlic
1/2 cup Water
1/2 cup Minced onion
1 tsp Salt
1/2 cup Diced celery
1/8 tsp Pepper
2 Tbsp Cornstarch
1 Tbsp Vinegar
1 8 oz Can tomato sauce
A 1 Sauce
1 Tbsp Prepared mustard
1/8 tsp Ground allspice
Ribs

Brush ribs with A 1 sauce and brown in fat. Remove ribs and sauté 1 minced clove garlic, onion and celery. Stir in 2 Tbsp cornstarch, tomato sauce, water, salt, pepper, and ground allspice, mustard and vinegar. Add meat and simmer covered 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

 

BBQ Spareribs

3 # Spareribs, country style ribs

Sauce

2 Tbsp Chopped onion
1/2 cup Catsup
1 Tbsp Brown sugar 1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp Prepared mustard 1 Tbsp oleo
1/4 tsp Cloves 1/4 tsp pepper
1 Tbsp
2 Tbsp Pickle or fruit juice

Cook onion in butter until soft. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Bake ribs covered 350 for 3 hrs or until done baste occasionally with sauce. Uncover last 30-45 mins.

 

Barbecups - Sue

3/4 lb
1 Tbsp Onion
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
1 can Refrigerator rolls
American Cheese

Brown hamburger with onion, add BBQ sauce. Simmer few minutes. Press each roll in a muffin tin. Spoon drained meat mixture into cups. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 400 for 10-12 mins.

Lemon BBQ Loaves 

1 1/2 # Ground beef
1/2 cup Water
1/4 cup Lemon juice
1 Tbsp Parsley
1/8 tsp Garlic powder
1 Egg slightly beaten
2 tsp Seas. salt
4 slices Stale bread diced fine
1/4 cup Chopped onion

TOPPING

1/3 cup Brown sugar
1/2 cup Catsup
1 tsp Dry mustard 6 thin slices
1/4 tsp Ground cloves lemon
1/4 tsp Ground allspice

Combine all ingredients for meat loaves. Mix well and shape in 6 small loaves. Place in greased oblong pan. Combine top ingredients except lemon. Bake loaves 350 for 15 mins., cover with topping and place a lemon slice on each loaf. Continue baking for 30 mins. Baste occasionally.

 

Oven BBQ Ribs - Jackie

1/2 C catsup
1/3 cup
1/2 tsp Chili powder
1/2 tsp Salt
dash Tabasco Sauce
3/4 cup Water
3-4 lbs Ribs. Onion and lemon slices

Salt ribs place in shallow roasting pan meaty side up. Roast 30 mins at 450. Drain off fat. Top each part with 1 onion thinly sliced and 1 lemon thinly sliced. Pour sauce over and turn oven to 350. Baste every 15 mins. Bake 1 1/2 hrs more.

Polynesian Hamburgers 

1 lb Ground sirloin
1 can Pineapple slices
1 tsp Salt and pepper
1/2 cup Brown sugar
1/4 cup Catsup
2 Tbsp Mustard

Allow about 1/4 lb meat for each hamburger which consists of 2 flat patties. Place 1 pineapple slice between 2 patties, seal edges. To make sauce combine brown sugar, catsup and mustard in saucepan. Add some pineapple juice. Heat until well blended. Broil hamburgers in oven or on grill basting with sauce. Place on bun and serve with potato salad and baked beans.

Steak Shish Kabobs 

1/2 cup White wine
1/2 tsp Salt
1 clove Garlic crushed
1/2 cup Oil
1 tsp Worcestershire
2 Tbsp
1/2 tsp Dried oregano
1 Tbsp Vinegar
1/2 tsp Dried thyme
2 # Sirloin cut in cubes
1/2 # Mushroom caps
2 large Green peppers cut in pieces
4 small Yellow
1 pt Cherry tomatoes
squash or

Combine ingredients for marinade. Add meat, cover and marinate at least 2 hrs in refrigerator, turn occasionally. Remove meat, alternate with vegetables. Grill 10 to 15 mins.
